Where jobs are advertised
- gov.je “Jobs in Jersey”: private-sector employers place adverts there without charge. It is the largest single list.
- careers.gov.je: Government of Jersey jobs, including schools, health and emergency services.
- Recruitment agencies: common for senior and specialist roles. The employer pays the agency, not you.
- Directly: some jobs are never advertised. Employer pages on Job.je show who has been hiring recently, which is a fair guide to who to approach.
Job.je puts the first two lists, and adverts posted here, into one search that you can sort and filter.
What to check in an advert
- Residency: does it ask for five years’ residence? If you have less, filter for adverts open to you. See residential status.
- Closing date: the closing soon list shows what ends this week.
- Pay: most adverts do not state it. The pay page shows what adverts for similar roles have paid.
- Hours and contract: permanent or temporary, full or part time.
For adverts collected from gov.je and careers.gov.je, you read the full description and apply on that site; every advert on Job.je links to it.
